Aegis Corporation, working as general administrator of the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation and Community Insurance Corporation, coordinated the 2nd Annual Advanced Law Enforcement Risk Training (A.L.E.R.T.) Law Enforcement Challenge October 1st in Lincoln County and October 3rd in Sauk County.
County Mutual and CIC member law enforcement departments from around the state competed at the events.

1st Place: Anthony Schuett, Taylor County Sheriff's Department
2nd Place: Jason Stalker, Dunn County Sheriff's Department
3rd Place: Kelly Jones, Price County Sheriff's Department
4th Place: Eric Staff, Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department
5th Place: Roger Sir, Lincoln County
Sauk County Location
Sauk County Winners 1st Place: Bren Derringer, Wood County Sheriff's Department
2nd Place: Evan Mazur, Jackson County Sheriff's Department
3rd Place: Richard Hoege, Columbia County Sheriff's Department
4th Place: Brian Kaye, Winnebago County Sheriff's Department
5th Place: Nick Willis, Mt. Pleasant PD
Individual prizes were awarded to top finishers and cash prizes awarded to the top finishers' departments. The first place finisher's department received $7,500; second place $5,000 and third place $2,500.
"This was a free training opportunity for our member law enforcement departments of the County Mutual and Community Insurance Corporation," said Bruce J. Scott of Aegis Corporation, who manages the A.L.E.R.T. program. "Planning is already underway for the 2014 events, which will be held October 7th in Lincoln County and October 9th in Sauk County."
