Aegis Corporation once again worked with Milwaukee County to hold the 7th Annual Milwaukee County Truck ROADeo. Over 160 Milwaukee County Highway and Airport employees gathered on May 21st and 22nd for a day of safety training, educational sessions and a road course challenge.
"This event is an outstanding opportunity to give our county employees, who put themselves in harm's way on a daily basis, a day of safety training, enrichment and competition," said Vance Forrest, Vice President of Risk Management for Aegis Corporation, which helped coordinate the event. "The work of these vital county employees keeps the infrastructure in Milwaukee strong and thriving and we are happy to be a part of this important event."
The two-day event was held at MKE's Milwaukee Regional Business Park at General Mitchell International Airport, 300 E. College Avenue in Oak Creek.
The free event included a timed road course challenge, vehicle inspection, commercial driver's license regulations review and other educational sessions and speakers.
Speakers include Milwaukee County Department of Transportation Director Brian Dranzik, Milwaukee County Supervisors Michael Mayo and Willie Johnson, Jr. and other Milwaukee County Director of Risk Management Cindy Van Pelt.
