Aegis Corporation's Director of Education & Risk Services Nicholas Dillon spoke to faculty and administrators at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies on March 18 and 19 on the topic of “Safety in the Workplace.”
He was in Grenada from March 16 through March 21 and also met with various media outlets to discuss his work in the area of risk management and safe workplace behaviors and why they are so important.
“A safe workplace is critical and relevant in every corner of the world,” said Dillon. “I am honored to be able to meet with those educators who are teaching the next generation of students about what needs to be done to put safety at the forefront of their jobs and activities.”
Previously Mr. Dillon has spoken at the World Safety Conference and in the course of his presentations; he connected with faculty and students at St. George’s University. This was his first time speaking to the group in Grenada and he is expected to return in the future for additional presentations.

"Most graduates know minimum about OSHA, before coming to the United States for residency," he said. "Some of the topics I cover will be Introduction to OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to name a few."
In addition to his presentations, Nick conducted a book signing when he was there at the University. It is anticipated that continuing education services through Aegis Corporation will continue into the future.
“We are proud of Nick for his commitment to education and outreach and this trip is yet another example of how his expertise is valued both here in the United States and abroad,” said Aegis Corporation Executive Vice President John A. Dirkse. “From conducing on-site OSHA training after Hurricane Katrina to presenting to a room full of Wisconsin county highway officials, his expertise is both an asset to our company and all who are impacted by his work.”
